I have not doubt at all that every teenager agrees with my statement that teenagers have too much pressure put on them. Let's start with school - the Hell that all teenagers despise!
As a teenager myself, I don't really mind school. I love seeing my friends every day, and some of my subjects I can never wait for! However, the minute you step into the jaws of KS4, there is so much pressure that it makes you feel as if you have just been smacked to the floor.
Homework. In my opinion, homework should stop immediately in KS4. We always have way too much. Then, when tests come along, there is always some decision to be made: Do I get a detention for no homework, or do I revise really well to get a grade that determines everything?! Now teachers, what would you rather we choose? I'm guessing revision, so why do you set homework?
Now, let me tell you something. Teenagers are the most likely to attract health problems. What is the biggest cause of health problems in teenagers? Pressure from school. Just think about that. We need a change.

This piece of writing started in an engaging way, by getting everyone to agree with the text. They have also used questions and answered them themselves, that shows the reader the writer knows what they're talking about.
ReplyDeleteI like the inclusive opening paragraph too!
